The fifth habit of Stephen Covey's “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, is to seek first to understand, then to be understood. It’s a great reminder for interacting with others, but do you listen to understand yourself?
In this week’s episode, Alix is sharing how seeking to understand her self-talk and thoughts before responding to them led her to take a different, unexpected course in her journey to greater life balance. Can you relate?

I’m sure you’ve heard before, real change begins on the inside, and when it comes to transforming your entire life, it’s those internal shifts in perspective that can make space for a new way of living, thinking, and being.
My guest today has become an expert in doing just that. Ann Hince has developed the ability to sense inside her body in ways that help her transform both her emotional and physical self. And when I first heard that, I was thinking the same thing you might be now. How can the way you perceive yourself change your physical self? She’s learned how to release physical tension stored in her connective tissue, using solely the focus of her mind, and she has x-rays to show the physical changes resulting from this inner work - including changing the alignment of her eye sockets, the straightening of her neck, the centering of her lower jaw, and the growth of her tooth roots. She has also grown 3/4 an inch at the age of 55. Ann wants us all to know that we have this incredible power within us, it just takes going further with practices that you may already be doing.
My guest today is Eileen Greene, a 93 year old empowered and fearless woman who strongly believes that there's no age limit to achieving your goals and dreams.
After raising her three sons, Eileen went on an unrelenting campaign to educate herself and experience life to the fullest; earning her bachelor’s degree from California State University, at the young age of 50. Since then Eileen has gone on to become One of the first people to be certified in NLP by Tony Robbins, received her Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology, Complete a 2 year program in Volunteer Work from University of Judaism, and became Certified in Interior Design, and Became certified Hypnotherapist, Her Ted Talk (at the age of 87) focused on how it’s never too late to do anything your heart wants you to do in this lifetime…except when it is. Today she is an active Life Coach, Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapeutic methods to help her clients. her biggest message: that we are all going to go, some of us sooner rather than later, but while you are still here, you have an opportunity to contribute. What are your “coulda, shouda, woudas”? No matter your age, make your list, pick one and do it now. |
