My guest today is Leslie Davis, and if you’re a go-getting over-achieving accomplishment junkie like me, you’re going to LOVE HER. She told me that about 20 years ago I came up with a mantra that I did not want to be 80 years old, sitting on my front porch saying, “I wish I would have.”
Since turning 50, she has taken up scuba diving, gone riding in a hot air balloon, traveled to Zimbabwe multiple times by herself, gone on about 10 mission trips, lost almost 100 lbs, taken up weight lifting, written 8 books, quit a job that was killing her and learned more about life than she did in college. She just turned 65 and she ain’t slowing down yet. Today we’re going to talk about how she discovered how to change her mindset, take real control of her life and release the things and people she did not have control of. And, I have three takeaways from her parenting advice that we can use on ourselves! Check out Leslie at www.youcanteatlove.com

This week is a bit of a how it started/how it’s going episode with our friend Alix. If you don’t know, Alix is spending 2022 working on better balance in her life, and sharing her experience on the podcast so we can all learn and grow in our own lives.
In our last conversation, Alix was focused on prioritizing self care during the wild west days of summer as a mom of young kids, when every week is different and life can feel like more of a roller coaster than usual. Today, we will check in to find out how it’s going, what she learned, and how she is shifting gears for fall. Can you relate? |
